Derek is a Systems Administrator by day and a Photographer by night. He has had an interest in the paranormal since the age of 8 after a few strange occurrences. His interest became more serious by the age of 17 when he encountered an abundance of strange activity that could not be explained. These experiences lead him to asking himself a lot of questions.
“What’s causing these things to happen? Do certain circumstances have any effect on these occurrences? Is there a way to document, study, or prove/disprove the existence of ghosts or spirits?”
Derek set out to try to experience and document these paranormal activities and try to come up with other explanations for what was happening. When there were no reasonable explanations left it made him more curious and interested in the paranormal. Given the opportunity to tag along with WPRS and take photos of some of the locations investigated, Derek wanted to show that he could also provide good problem solving skills that would prove useful during investigations. Being a part of WPRS has given Derek the opportunity to put his skills and knowledge to good use. By testing new methods, theories, and instruments, he hopes to be able to find more answers in the paranormal field.
